Mama bird playing favorites
Maybe being stepped on is better. Who wants to have everything fed to them on a silver platter anyway?
Mama bird is doing the bird a favor by stepping on his head. She's teaching him the facts of life while treating the other one like a baby.
Although the whole thing is kind of crap, I think. What kind of mother uses her child as a stepladder?
